Review: Last Night’s Dinner at The Signature Prime

Even though I wanted another home cooked meal, I’m glad we ended up going to The Signature Prime Steak House for dinner last night.  We’ve been here several of times, but it has been over a year.  I like the atmosphere of this place.  It is a dark ambiance, with the sounds of a live pianist streaming though the rooms of the 36th floor in the Ala Moana Hotel.  Beautiful views of Waikiki are showcased in the windows throughout the whole restaurant.

To start off, you receive complimentary bread.

For an appetizer, we started off with the Hokkaido Seared Sea Scallops.  These were cooked to absolute perfection.

For my entree, I ordered the Colorado rack of lamb.  First time they got the temperature wrong, I always feel so bad for sending stuff back, but the waiter was already there to witness it.  He sent it back right away, so sweet.  The second time around was cooked to a perfect medium-rare.  Kevin and I tore it up.

Kevin ordered a special they had, the bone in filet.  So delicious.

For our sides we received a complimentary truffle mashed potato, and ordered a side of the lobster mac and cheese.

Everything ended up being so delicious as usual.  We enjoyed dinner with glasses of red wine.  Coming home and warming up some Hershey’s smores bars for dessert.  One of Kevin and I’s favorites right now.  I promise I will post more home cooked meals for you guys soon!
