Lamb Steaks With Garlic And Rosemary

On Sunday night, we felt very spoiled after all the goodies we were served at Vintage Cave.  So we ran to the store and grabbed us a few lamb steaks.  You know this household loves some lamb!  Usually to get some lamb we have to drive all the way to Whole Foods in Kahala.  This time we found it in our local Navy commissary!  How convenient!  We enjoyed it with some homemade gnocchi I tried out.  Which you can get the recipe for here.  If you aren’t familiar with the way we cook up our canned artichoke hearts, click here.  Kevin cooked up a mean lamb steak!  I would totally try and make it but I would make a fool out of myself.  Kevin does his thing.

He seasoned the lamb steaks with kosher salt, pepper and finely chopped rosemary.

In a high heated skillet, he set in the lamb steaks with some oil.

He kept them on that side for about 3-4 minutes.  Flipped.  Then, he added some thyme sprigs and garlic cloves.  Also, you can’t forget the pat of butter.  Once the butter was added, he basted the top of the chops with a spoon.  Gently splashed the sizzling butter on top of the steak, adding in some outstanding flavor.  Keep it on that side for about 3-4 more minutes.
