It was a Thursday evening, Kevin and I had a scheduled Yelp Elite event. He got caught up at work and had to stay late. With traffic and all, it looked like we were going to be super DUPER late. So we just kept driving to head down to The Pearl Brewery. After about 30 to 40 minutes in San Antonio traffic, we made it. We parked and walked around to decide where we were gonna have dinner. A Thursday night date is what it turned into and it was awesome! Continue reading “Sternewirth + Cured At Pearl”
So, Friday was date night so Royce spent the night at his grandparent’s house. The next morning Kevin kept this super secret about where we were gonna go for breakfast. I got all dolled up and off we went. We drove out of our neighborhood and made our way towards the highway. Or did we? Nope, Kevin stopped right there at this cute cafe called Cafezinho. We’ve passed by it multiple times because we literally live down the street. It always looked pretty busy on the outside and I’ve always wanted to try it. So here we were! Cafezinho is a small cafe and restaurant located in Selma, TX that is family owned. Everyone there was so friendly and ensured our breakfast experience was great.
So, having a kid you forget to enjoy the simple things in life because you’re so busy. Kevin and I decided to go to breakfast as a family one morning since it had been a while. I pulled up my bookmarks and we chose NOLA Brunch and Beignets. The menu sounded superb. The sound of New Orleans cuisine in San Antonio was the perfect thing to fill our hungry bellies.
This bright and retro Denver-based chain has made it’s way to San Antonio! Boy it’s magnificent. Snooze A.M. Eatery is an eclectic breakfast and brunch joint that started it’s journey in Denver, Colorado back in 2006. What I loved most about this place is that the ingredients are all organic and come from local companies and farmers. It opened it’s doors at the Quarry Market on March 1st, and on March 2nd we showed up and enjoyed the service of the “Snoozers”.
So, it was a holiday and Kevin and I couldn’t find a nice spot to eat a delicious breakfast. Magnolia Pancake Haus had a 2 hour wait and The Bread Box was closed. (Which we still have yet to try) So Eggspectation it was. This franchise first started in Montreal, Canada and although it is a franchise, I honestly had never heard of it. We walk in and it was quite a bit of a wait, but it was oh so worth it. One of the most fancy and modern breakfast and brunch spots I’ve ever seen. We spent the 30 minute wait drooling over all the items on the menu and before we knew it, it was time to be sat.
