It was a Thursday evening, Kevin and I had a scheduled Yelp Elite event. He got caught up at work and had to stay late. With traffic and all, it looked like we were going to be super DUPER late. So we just kept driving to head down to The Pearl Brewery. After about 30 to 40 minutes in San Antonio traffic, we made it. We parked and walked around to decide where we were gonna have dinner. A Thursday night date is what it turned into and it was awesome! Continue reading “Sternewirth + Cured At Pearl”
So, Friday was date night so Royce spent the night at his grandparent’s house. The next morning Kevin kept this super secret about where we were gonna go for breakfast. I got all dolled up and off we went. We drove out of our neighborhood and made our way towards the highway. Or did we? Nope, Kevin stopped right there at this cute cafe called Cafezinho. We’ve passed by it multiple times because we literally live down the street. It always looked pretty busy on the outside and I’ve always wanted to try it. So here we were! Cafezinho is a small cafe and restaurant located in Selma, TX that is family owned. Everyone there was so friendly and ensured our breakfast experience was great.
After about three hours of studying veterinary terminology, my brain felt raw yesterday. After all that work, I wanted to enjoy something hearty and very yummy for dinner. Something that would stick to my bones to bless me with a good nights sleep. Kevin ran to the store before he came home from work to check out the meat section at H-E-B. Lamb chops were the winner. They were cut up and packed fresh by the butcher. For dinner, we enjoyed rosemary lamb chops, dill and garlic asparagus, and scalloped potatoes. I’ve been making my scalloped potatoes for years and I can’t believe I haven’t shared my recipe with you guys yet! People would beg me for the recipe whenever I would bring them for a work potluck. They are super simple, you just have to put your time and effort into it. I also wanted to test out our new mandolin. Haha.
Just another date night. I was 37 weeks pregnant and super hungry. (As always.) Kevin said I could pick anywhere I wanted to go for dinner. After scrolling through all my Yelp bookmarks, I chose to go to Tre Trattoria. I had spent months wondering how delicious this place ACTUALLY was after hearing so many great things about it from my friends and family. If you wanted to kidnap me, all you would have to do was drop down some fresh pasta from Tre Trattoria in a trail and I would be SOL. Continue reading “Date Night At Tre Trattoria”
Until you have a baby, you will never truly know what it means when people say, “It will completely change your life.” On March 20th, 2017 Royce Oliver Moore made his way into the world. Since that day, my life has been a whirlwind. In a good way.
