Date Night At Tre Trattoria

Just another date night.  I was 37 weeks pregnant and super hungry.  (As always.)  Kevin said I could pick anywhere I wanted to go for dinner.  After scrolling through all my Yelp bookmarks, I chose to go to Tre Trattoria.  I had spent months wondering how delicious this place ACTUALLY was after hearing so many great things about it from my friends and family.  If you wanted to kidnap me, all you would have to do was drop down some fresh pasta from Tre Trattoria in a trail and I would be SOL.   Continue reading “Date Night At Tre Trattoria”

Snooze A.M. Eatery

This bright and retro Denver-based chain has made it’s way to San Antonio! Boy it’s magnificent.  Snooze A.M. Eatery is an eclectic breakfast and brunch joint that started it’s journey in Denver, Colorado back in 2006.  What I loved most about this place is that the ingredients are all organic and come from local companies and farmers.  It opened it’s doors at the Quarry Market on March 1st, and on March 2nd we showed up and enjoyed the service of the “Snoozers”.

Expectations Met at Eggspectation

So, it was a holiday and Kevin and I couldn’t find a nice spot to eat a delicious breakfast.  Magnolia Pancake Haus had a 2 hour wait and The Bread Box was closed.  (Which we still have yet to try)  So Eggspectation it was.  This franchise first started in Montreal, Canada and although it is a franchise, I honestly had never heard of it.  We walk in and it was quite a bit of a wait, but it was oh so worth it.  One of the most fancy and modern breakfast and brunch spots I’ve ever seen.  We spent the 30 minute wait drooling over all the items on the menu and before we knew it, it was time to be sat.

Lamb Scallopini Linguine

January 24th marked a year since I started my blog.  I’ve been able to share so much advice and recipes with you guys and it just makes me happy to know how much support I have.  I’m up to 1,004 followers which is way more than I’d ever thought I’d have by now. Thank you for visiting my blog for the last year! I did take a small break of blogging for the past few weeks.  I’m telling you, this third trimester sure is kicking my butt, but I’m back and ready for action!

When it comes to lamb, Kevin and I usually do chops or steaks.  We got some natural grass fed lamb scallopini cuts from our local meat market to try something new.  Pasta was the plan and we made it happen.  It was a delicious linguine, topped with seared lamb scallopini, tossed in a light lemon butter garlic sauce.  Here is how we did it.
