So, having a kid you forget to enjoy the simple things in life because you’re so busy. Kevin and I decided to go to breakfast as a family one morning since it had been a while. I pulled up my bookmarks and we chose NOLA Brunch and Beignets. The menu sounded superb. The sound of New Orleans cuisine in San Antonio was the perfect thing to fill our hungry bellies.
We had just closed out on our new house, what better way to celebrate with some delicious food! Bourbon St. Seafood Kitchen it is! If you’ve never been here, it is a complete MUST. There are 3 San Antonio locations. We ended up trying the one on 1604, since it was on the way. I’ve always heard great things about this place so why not give it a shot?
It’s been a long time. I took a break from writing simply because we have been in the process of moving back home to Texas! Vacation was well needed and I now I have loads of backed up content to share with you guys. Wait no more! It’s been pretty nice to say we are back home. The dogs love it here and so do we. We are getting a house built and can’t wait to move in. Things are definitely looking up.
This recipe is something that I came across on Pinterest a while ago. It’s an inspired recipe from the New Orleans School of Cooking. A creamy and cajuny (might not be a word, but it is today) combination of flavors. Loads of artichokes, shrimp and most importantly, love. This is a fairly simple recipe and I hope you guys try it out! It’s great! Continue reading “New Orleans Shrimp and Artichoke Soup”
